Frequent fitting problems & solutions
Select a problem below to find a solution
- 1. Back underband rides up
- Solution
- Lengthen the straps. Try a smaller band size or choose a tighter setting on the band.
- General Rule
- The band should fit straight across the back. The lower edge should anchor just below the shoulder blades. Remember the lower the back band fits, the more support you get.

- 2. Underband digs in at the base of the cup
- Solution
- Try a looser hook placement Try a larger band size. Try a La Senza Dreamshapers bra extender.
- General Rule
- It should be comfortable enough to slip a finger underneath the band at the base of the cup.

- 3. Centre lifts away from the breastbone
- Solution
- Increase the cup size. If this doesn’t help a different style is needed.

- 4. Underband is too tight
- Solution
- Try a looser hook placement. Try increasing the band size. Try a La Senza Dreamshaper bra extender.
- General Rule
- The band should fit closely but comfortably around the torso, if it leaves red marks on the skin it is too tight.

- 5. Breasts are dropping or sagging (bad projection)
- Solution
- Tighten the straps. Try a smaller cup size or style (cups are either too big or too deep). Try inserting La Senza Illusions for a fuller look.
- General Rule
- Good projection means that the middle of the breast is at a 90-degree angle with the floor. The best solution for sagging breasts of any size is a full cup bra. Push up or Demi-cup styles will not provide adequate support.

- 6. Straps dig into shoulders
- Solution
- Loosen the straps. Try a bra with wider straps. Try placing bra strap pads under the straps (if available).
- General Rule
- Normally straps will be loosened to about half way, if they leave red marks in the shoulders, they are too tight.

- 7. Overflow of breast tissue from cup
- Solution
- Increase the cup size. Try a larger band size.
- General Rule
- A well-fitting bra should contain all of the breast tissue inside the cup.
